Every time I pull myself up…

… something comes along to knock me down.

Things have been so difficult, overwhelming at times.

I try, I really do.

But everything I try feels like I’m on a never-ending rollercoaster.

I get up…

…only to get knocked back down.

I’ve been through so much – at times I want to give up.

My marriage is struggling.

My children are experiencing emotional problems, and nothing I do changes that.

I feel alone and lonely…

… even when I’m in a crowd.

Like I don’t belong. I’ve tried to change, but it feels as if nothing I do helps.

If I tell the truth about what I’m going through, I’m afraid I’ll be judged. Everyone thinks I’m strong; but on the inside, I feel like a failure, like it’s all my fault.

Is it my fault?

Am I a failure at relationships?

Am I a horrible parent?

Does God care, or is He even there?

I don’t know what to do any more.

Overwhelmed. Hurt. Scared.

Trying to handle it myself has led to fear, anxiety, sadness, and isolation.

Why can’t I figure it out? Why can’t I make it better?

Is there hope?

The journey toward healing is like climbing a mountain. Though the journey may seem difficult, at the end of the journey, it’s exhilarating and exciting.

A whole new view of life is born. The world is full of color, purpose, and hope.
